Obsidian + OpenClaw = Personal Assistant
I’m sure you’ve heard of OpenClaw but does it live up to all the hype?
I’m sure you’ve heard of OpenClaw but does it live up to all the hype?
Well I’ve been using OpenClaw as a personal assistant connected directly to my Obsidian vault, and spoiler alert, I’m impressed! Now, because my tasks, calendar events, and daily notes either live in Obsidian or is accessible using TasksNotes MCP, my OpenClaw AI agent “Jenn” has a single source of truth to work from, without needing direct access to my Google Calendar or anything else outside that vault.
The result? Every morning Jenn sends me a structured agenda. Periodically she checks in on my progress. In the evening she wraps up my day with a productivity score and reflection prompts. Plus, anytime I need something, whether I’m at my desk or out enjoying nature, I can simply open Discord on my phone and tell her what I need.
Create a task. Reschedule something. Mark a habit done. Write a draft. And she’s always available 24/7.
Is it perfect? No. There are hiccups. But it gets smarter the more you use it, and that’s the thing that has me genuinely excited about where this is heading.
