Obsidian TaskNote NEW Task Sync to Google
Ever felt like your tasks live in one world and your calendar in another? That disconnect just ended.
Ever felt like your tasks live in one world and your calendar in another? That disconnect just ended.
The TaskNote plugin for Obsidian just dropped a game-changing update: direct Google Calendar sync for your tasks. Now your Obsidian tasks automatically appear on your Google Calendar based on scheduled or due dates—no more manual copying.
Here’s what makes it powerful:
Tasks sync automatically when created, updated, completed, or deleted
Customizable event titles and descriptions with task metadata
Support for all-day or timed events
Color customization and reminder settings
Links back to Obsidian for easy editing
Pro tip: Create a dedicated Google Calendar just for synced tasks. Don’t mix them with your regular events—trust me on this one.
Fair warning: I found some bugs with recurring tasks, so you might want to avoid those until the developer irons out the kinks. But for regular tasks I’ve not seen any issues.
